JJ Sobey - Sketch Designer
My name is JJ Sobey. I live in Montreal with my husband, two kids
and three cats. I speak two languages. I am an unabashed geek and a coffee
fanatic. I have been scrapping for about 6 years, and my kids are the main
subjects (though not the only subject) of my work. I switch between shabby and
more artsy/mixed media/freestyle depending on what project I'm working on. I
love to use embellishments and colour, and if it's not moving, I will mist it.

Wow, what an incredible privilege this is! If you've been thinking of
applying to a design team call, I strongly encourage you to do it. You may be
pleasantly surprised- just like I was!
Scrapbooking and I had a rocky start. I was introduced to it by a friend
that had a Creative Memories party way back in the late 1990's, and after that I
half-heartedly dabbled in it until 2008, when my dear husband (now) and I made
an epic move from Alberta to Saskatchewan. I wanted to document our move, and
that's where my love affair with this craft truly began.
This honest to goodness, can't get enough of it obsession of mine was put
on the back burner again in 2010, after the births of my twin daughters. They
are now busy two year old toddlers, who keep me hopping. Although they keep me
busy, I'm still able to find time in the evenings, after they're tucked safely
into bed for the night, for a little creative therapy!
Aurelie Cormier
Aurelie originally hails from Cheticamp, a beautiful Acadian village right
on the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, NS. Studying in Moncton, she quickly fell
in love with NB and has been a permanent resident since 2005. She now resides
in Dieppe with her husband, Mathieu, and their almost, but not quite, four-year
old son, Louis-Olivier.
Scrapbooking has become an integral part of Aurelie's life. She tries to
do something scrapbook-related every day, may it be working on a layout,
browsing through online galleries or reading scrapbook magazines. Published in
a few editions of Canadian Scrapbooker, her style has been known to be called
"rustic", which is fine by her as it enables her to relish in fattening things
up with dimension, tearing and texture.
Other than scrapbooking, Aurelie has recently rekindled a romance with
reading through a monthly book club she joined at work in February 2012. She
also tutors, teaches voice classes and sings most weekends at a few church
services around the area.

Chantal Anderson
My name
is Chantal Anderson (Tootall on the Boards) and I am 40 years old. I was a
French grade 8 teacher for 10 years. I
stopped teaching 5 years ago to stay home with my 6 year old son and to be able
to do all the accounting work for my husband’s family physician business. I have been happily married for 8 beautiful
years. We have been living in St George,
NB since August 2006.
I was
introduced to scrapbooking in the summer of 2003 when I was visiting a few
friends in Shédiac and have not stopped since.
Scrapbooking and Photography are my passions. I truly love taking pictures of my beautiful
son and husband, especially when they play together. Scrapbooking is a lot more than a great hobby
for me. It enables me to capture and
preserve all of our precious memories together.
I love that I can be creative without making any mistakes, and also to
teach others how to express themselves. After being a school
teacher for over 10 years, I thought I was ready for a change and a new
challenge. I have been teaching
scrapbooking classes for almost 5 years now. I had my own scrapbook store from Dec 2008 to
Sept 2010. I really loved it but when my
son started kindergarten I decided to close my shop because it was taking too
much of my time. I still love being able to share this passion I have with others.
I don’t
really know how I would describe my scrapbooking style, but I can certainly say
that you will see lots of inking, distressing on my layouts. I love to be able to inspire others with my
projects.
I am
really honoured to be part of the "Let's Capture our memories" Design
Team. Thank you so much Tanya for the
opportunity to inspire others!!!!

art journaling and ATC's. I love a challenge, and love to find creative uses for
tools and products. I am thrilled to be part of the sketch team, and the LCOM
family for another term!
Genie Smith
Hi, I'm Genie. I'm a wife, mommy, and part-time photographer who's gotten
totally addicted to this crazy scrapbooking world. I was lucky enough to marry
my best friend nearly 12 years ago, and we have two beautiful little girls; Evie
is 8 and Ellie is 2. I started scrapbooking in high school with magnetic albums
that held my snapshots along with all the bits and bobs I'd kept or picked up
along the way. I gradually evolved, and here I am today. Scrapbooking is my
way of escaping my hectic routine here and there, but it's so much more--being
creative is as necessary as breathing! I am honored to be a part of the Let's
Capture These Sketches DT and look forward to lots of fun!
Guylaine Seyer

scrapbook pages to cards and mini albums. I also enjoy creating my own sketches.

Jaclyn Rench
My name is Jaclyn Rench and
I’m a stay-at-home mom to three sweet kiddos – TJ, (nearly 7), Justin (3 ½), and
our new baby girl, Emerson (7 months). I have been married to my husband, Tom,
for nearly 11 years and we live in Maineville, Ohio - a northern suburb of
Cincinnati. When I’m not busy taking care of my family I love to sneak in some
time to scrapbook (obviously!), bake, decorate, read and catch up on some of my
favorite blogs. I have been scrapbooking for over 13 years and don't see myself
stopping anytime soon!
My name is Jocelyne and I'm a scrapaholic... I'm also Maman to two
beautiful, very intelligent daughters and wife to the love of my life and best
friend. My scrapbooking addiction started about 8 years ago when my mom
introduced me to it not long after my first daughter was born. At first it was
an excuse to get me out of the house and occupy my time when I was on maternity
leave but it quickly turned into my sanity saver. I'm never as calm as when I'm
cutting paper, stamping, and gluing pictures and pretty embellishments to
layouts. I love the social aspect of it too and love all the friends I made in
the scrapbooking community. But most of all, I love how my girls get to flip
through the scrapbooks I made over the years and know the stories behind the
pictures.
Jody Rogers
I live in Friendly Winnipeg Manitoba with my DH, my DS and our two big dogs. I
have been scrapping for over 12 years now and evolved from not only a
scrapbooker but a card maker. I work for the City, however I also teach card
and layout classes at my LSS here in Winnipeg. I adore checking out all the
latest trends, fabulous blogs and new techniques that are so ever changing in
this creative world! Challenges are my favorite to take pare in and therefore
sketches are at the top of my list! I am looking forward to this fabulous
opportunity of being on such a great sketch design team! I love to blog, blog,
blog - check it out here www.creativeauthority.blogspot.com

Aaden (3 and a half) and Jarett (13 months). I also have a beautiful
stepdaughter, Kristie Lee and stepgranddaughter, Chloe, who I adore!
I was always deemed 'the crafty one' by my friends
and immediately fell in love with scrapbooking when I first saw it about 7-8
years ago. I was hooked ever since a co-worker introducted me to classes at a
local scrapbooking store and never looked back!!!
I joined the LCOM family in January 2012 and was
asked to be a part of the sketch team near the end of last term and an thrilled
to be here for another term.

Lisa Wilkinson
Hi Everyone! My name is Lisa Wilkinson and I feel
so blessed to be chosen to be on the Let’s Capture These Sketches Team. I am
busy home schooling mommy to 6, and the wife to the man of my dreams. I am
always creating something with all the inspiration my family gives me. I have
been scrapbooking for over a dozen years and my style has slowly evolved into
what it is now... layered, lumpy, bumpy, misty, sewed on, with a lot of white
space. It is "organized-messy". I feel each day is just a little
sweeter when you have a little crafty time. When I am not crafting I can be
found outside enjoying all of the beauty around us and taking lots and lots of
pictures (so I can get crafty again...lol).
Melissa Williams
I am a 30-something stay-at-home Mom of 2 boys, living in Michigan, and
currently taking classes to get a second associate's degree. I've been married
since 2003, and that's pretty much when my scrapping addiction started. I made a
gift album for a friend who was getting married within weeks of me, which pretty
much equated to deco-scissor cut photos and sticker sneezes, but that was enough
to kick start an avenue of creativity that I've not veered away from (much)
since. I scrapbook both digitally and with paper, though I prefer the tactile
experience that paper scrapping provides. I've been on several design teams in
the past, for both paper and digital teams, and I am really excited to be a part
of the LCOM sketch team!
Michelle Gallant
Hi
everyone, my name is Michelle Gallant and I live in NB Canada with my hubby of almost 12
years and 2 beautiful kids. I have been scrapping for about 6 years and
I've recently started to get interested in photography as well. I try to scrap
at least a few minutes every day (sometimes on my lunch hour). It truly makes
me happy!
Monique Bourgeois
Hi I’m Monique, from New Brunswick, Canada. I’ve e been
shacked up with my DH for almost 20yrs, we have two awesome boys, 18 & 3
yrs. old! Yup, 15 yrs. apart...LOL
I started scrapping with a friend as a way to not go stir
crazy while I was taken off work for my pregnancy, and well, it has now been
nearly 4 years, and I am ever so addicted to this wonderful craft. I love
everything about it, the creating, the friendships, and of course the shopping,
but in truth the part I love the most is the dear friends I have made in these 4
yrs...I love you all! I can’t wait to meet new scrappy friends. My style, well,
I haven’t quite figured that one out yet, I’m a little of everything, but I
guess that’s what I like about this art.
Besides scrapping and my family, I also work full time as a
911 Emergency Medical Dispatcher, I love my job, and the rewards it offers at
the end of the day, whether it be saving a life or helping someone deal with a
loss...it’s a very rewarding career that I have doing for 8yrs
now.
Well, that’s me in a nutshell, I’m very outgoing, ask me
anything don’t be shy, I don’t bite...not hard at least!!
Here’s my poor little lonely blog.... http://monique-scrapsofme.blogspot.com
Rosemary Nunn
I am Rosemary Nunn and I live in Saint John, New Brunswick,
Canada. I was born in London, England and I am an only child! We moved to
Canada when I was 3 so I don’t have any memories of living in England. One of
my life long dreams is to travel to many places!!! I am going to get started on
that soon!! I have earned my Bachelor of Nursing degree and am presently
working in a private clinic. I have been scrapbooking for 10+ years and it
quickly became an obsession!! It brings out the creativity in me and allows me
to express myself!! Preserving those special memories means the world to me. I
am addicted to it AND to buying lots of scrappy goodies!!! I can't label myself
with a particular scrappy style, I just love trying new things and new
techniques!!! I am thrilled to be coordinating the LCTS sketch team! I love
working with all these amazing, talented ladies!!
Sherri Funk
I invite you to get to know a little bit more about me, my family, and my scrappy style at my corner of the web http://faithandscraphappiness.blogspot.com
Hi My name is Shirley. I am in my early 40's and have three children as
well as a fantastic hubby who has always been very supportive of my crafty side.
I have been scrapbooking & card making for around 10 years now and whilst I
consider these my main vices I like to dabble in Off the Page projects as well.
When I first started out I lived in a very small country town with no craft
stores at all so I am very much self taught. I'm not sure I have a "style" as
such however I do love flowers, bling & lots of glitz so I guess you'd say
more often than not *lumpy bumpy*. I have been privileged to have been on a
few design teams now and I love being inspired by fellow team members. I can't
wait to join the team here at Let's Capture Our Memories. Let the fun
begin....

stopped!
I am so excited to be designing
for LCTS!!

excited to be coming back to the Sketch Team for another term!
