Lots of stuff to share with you tonight, so let's get to it!!!
New for 2010:
We will be doing things the same as we did in 2009! Yay!! Sketches will be posted each Friday... Guest designer's the first of each month... and all that fun!! There is however one change... We will ask you to please LOAD YOUR LO's IN THE LCOM GALLERY, IN THE SKETCH GALLERY... OR EMAIL THEM TO ME AT firstname.lastname@example.org
The reason for this change, os because many times when we try to view your pages on your blog, we come up with errors and are unable to view them!! We are adding a slide show for each month now and we can't enter your page, if we can't view it!! So please give this a go for us, and we will see how we make out! :)
We will also be choosing our favorite LO from each sketch in the month to showcase!! This is not for a prize, but for the recognition of all your hard work!! There are so many gorgeous pages being done that we want to show them off!!!
We want to thank Creative Expressions for sponsoring the team this month!! Creative expressions is a local company that creates custom vinyl!! They have created some fabulous vinyl rubons for us to use on our pages! So much fun!! Check out their website to see all that they have to offer! Wall art, automobile art, and of course, scrapbooking art!! Way too cool!! We want to say a big THANK YOU to them for their generosity!! Play along with ANY of our January sketches for your chance to win a full set just like the sketch team received!!
January Guest Designer
Hi, my name is Heather Lough, and I am so excited to join the Capture These Sketches sketch team this month. I am a wife to a wonderful husband for over 13 years and mother to 3 kids, Hannah (9 this month), Justin (7 this month) and Owen (3). Pre-kids I was a civil engineer but now am a stay at home mom who teaches a few fitness classes each week. I started scrapping just over 9 years ago while I was expecting our daughter. I knew that I wanted a more creative way to display the numerous photos we would take than just sticking them in photo sleeves. Being very analytical, I actually didn’t ever think I was very creative, but through scrapbooking, I discovered that I could be. I enjoyed scrapbooking, but it didn’t really become a passion until about 4 years ago when I discovered online communities. I gained so much motivation, inspiration and encouragement from all my online friends. I had a few IRL friends that scrapbooked with me but nothing like I did. In all the message boards, I found people who understood me and the obsession that is scrapbooking. I felt at home. I’m so glad to join this team this month and be inspired. I thank Tina and Tanya for this wonderful opportunity.
Now, on to Heather's Fabulous sketch, and the layouts the team has created for you using it!!
NEWS: Join us at 7PM EST Friday Jan 8th for another fun BLOG HOP!! More details to come soon!!
Until next time... Happy Scrapping in 2010!!
