Hi everyone! Today is my day to post to the blog. Let me just say how much I've enjoyed all of the other posts over the past 8 days. You all did a great job and I'm looking forward to lots more fun working with all of you.

My name is Darlene, I live in Southwest NS. I've been married to my sugar, baby, honey, darlin' Gene for almost 25 years. We have two grown children, a son Keith who is 22 and a daughter, BJ who is 20. I've been scrapbooking and cardmaking for just over 5 years and like most I'm totally addicted. I've always been involved in some sort of crafting but over the years most of the crafting that I did was to help supplement our family income so that I could stay at home with our children while they were young. I've been heavily involved in the quilting business and still love to quilt whenever I can make time for it. One thing that I love about scrapbooking is the personal aspect of it. It's something that I'm doing for myself and my family, it's not something that I'm thinking about selling. It's for us, for our pleasure, something that (I hope) my family will treasure for years to come.

I have had the pleasure of having some of my cards published by a couple of magazines over the past year or so and am looking forward to having my first layout published with Canadian Scrapbooker in the fall of this year.

I am so thrilled to have made some great friends along the scrapbooking trail, especially at LCOM, which is the sister site for this blog. We would love for you to drop by there, register and take a few minutes to look around. Be sure to check out the gallery, it's filled with so much scrappy goodness. There are alot of fun things going on at LCOM and lots more to look forward to in the next few weeks. I would also love for you to stop by my blog and say hi!

Day 8

Hi there everyone, I am Emily (emilysue on the boards) and I could not be happier to be a part of the LCOM Sketch Team.
I am from Eastern Canada, I’ve lived here for about three years. Before that I lived in Ontario but moved here after college. I am a supervisor at a local child care facility and I really enjoy my job, but someday I dream of being a mom and getting to stay home with some kids of my own.
I have been paper crafting for a few years now, it started out as card making and decorating stationary for my hubby when we were in a long distance relationship and the scrappy addiction has grown since then.
Now that we are living together, most of my LO’s revolve around Keith and our lovely (but slightly wild) golden retriever King. I also really enjoy scrapping objects and I have recently started paying a lot more attention to product packaging.
I tend to think of my style as evolving, there is no technique I won’t try and I am always interested in new products or mediums on the market.
I have only recently started doing my sketches digitally, and I am so addicted! I was a little bit intimidated to try it at first, but now I can’t stop...so much fun J
I can’t wait to show everyone what the Sketch team has in store, we have some super talent and some super sponsors,

Hi everyone!! Are you loving this? I am so enjoying reading about all the team members and seeing everyone's fabulous sketches everyday! Thanks for all the inspiration, girls!!

My name is Amanda. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Kevin, for almost 7 years. I am a SAHM to our 3 kids: Riley, 41/2, Kieran, 3 and Bridget 16 months. I am busy to say the least! Thankfully, Kevin is a wonderful hands-on dad and we live close to most of our family. I am grateful to have such a wonderful support system.

I have been scrapbooking for about four years. It started out as a way to document the life of my eldest son, but quickly turned into a passion. I love that it is a way to tell my family's story but also serves as my creative outlet. I have always enjoyed writing, crafting and photography and love that scrapping allows me to combine them! On particularly crazy days, I am thankful to have a hobby that I am so passionate about...one that allows me to escape for awhile and enjoy time creating. I enjoy trying many different things when I scrap...I love creating a page with clean lines one day and then trying something shabby chic the next. My kids and nieces/nephews give me tons of inspiration and great pictures to work with...I many never catch up, lol!

I have been fortunate to be on several design teams over the past couple of years. I love that I am able to inspire others and my scrapbooking has really grown thanks to these experiences. I am so excited to be part of the LCOM sketch DT!! These girls are all wonderfully talented and I'm honoured to get to work with them!

Welcome!! I am so excited to be a part of this!!!!

My name is Natalie Roy. I share a house with my hubby Marc, my 2 funny kids George and Julianne, our roommate Dave also known as hubby #2, two cats Roxanne& baby and two dogs Aimee and Cinderella . I live halfway up a mountain in northern Alberta, Canada.



I have been scrapping for 5 years. I also discovered a love of photography and Photoshop from this hobby, which I never knew I had before. I definitely have a style although I am not quite sure what that is. I have been told by numerous people that they can spot one of my layouts a mile away. I just start creating and they always take on a life of their own that I seem to have no control over. I love challenges of all sorts. They motivate me to scrap and push myself.

Day 5 ~ Tara

Hi there! My name is Tara aka: Thynner.

I have three girls who are very close to one another. The twins, Emmy and DD are 9 and Paige is 7. I have been married to my soul mate for 12 years now and I adore my family. I find scrapping to be my sanctuary from the everyday chaos of raising a family. It is my quiet time at the end of the day. I love trying new and interesting things on my pages and in my designs. I have been on various design teams for almost 5 years. I have been responsible for many new and exciting things. I have organized crops, contests, challenges and have been blessed with making new friends. I have been fortunate to have my layouts published in magazine and online galleries. I hope to take all the wonderful things I have learned and shared with the amazing team and members here at Let's Capture Our Memories!

I really hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend so far. It is the first truly beautiful day here and everyone seems to be popping by. I hope to find some time later to scrap some of these great sketches that are being loaded on the blog!

Day 4-Becky

I am so honored to be a part of the Let's Capture our Memories Sketch Team and I couldn't be more excited to contribute to a wonderful part of this Scrapbooking Community!

Hi everyone, my name is Becky. I was born and raised in Newfoundland. I now reside in Charlottetown, PEI with my wonderful loving and supporting husband of 10 months. I have lived in many places including my home of Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI, Ontario, Alberta, and England. A dream of mine growing up was to travel to all of the provinces in Canada, and I can proudly say that I have accomplished that this past year. Travelling is a passion of mine, and I do it as much as possible. I have been to England (2x) Scotland, Wales, Switzerland and the United States. My hobbies include natural photography, biking, camping, fishing, hiking, gloating, and really anything to do with the outdoors. I’ve been involved with Girl Guides of Canada for 23 years (joined when I was 5).

I started scrapbooking in Bible College when a friend of mine showed me her scrapbook of her family and friends. I thought it was the neatest thing that she had all these beautiful papers and doo dads placed so “daintily”. I later found out they were called embellishments. I started off with visiting dollar stores just to test the waters. It wasn’t long before I was shopping at the LSS. From the beginning, I was told that everything had to be “flat” but then again people were once told that the world was once flat, and as they became enlightened and have learnt otherwise, so have I. My husband says “that you can really see the difference between my first scrapbook, and my most recent work” And still there is so much more to learn. I don’t have a particular “favourite” line because I honestly love them all!

Hi everyone, my name is Melissa Wright and I live in Saint John, NB with my wonderful husband of 3 years, Greg and our 2 year old Bichon frise, Huggie.

I started scrapbooking 2 years ago and have fallen in love with this hobby very quickly! I love bling and pearls on my LOs and use browns and lots of inking and distressing in my work! I also love to make cards! When I am not scrapping, you can find me in the dance studio dancing my heart out!

I was published for the first time in the May/June issue of Simple Scrapbooks which is also their last issue! I am going to miss this magazine very much as it is one of my favorites!

Let's Capture our Memories is the first design team I have ever been a part of and I am very excited and honoured to be part of such a talented team!

Day 2 Calia

Hey everyone!! I hope you were able to join us yesterday with our wonderful and creative Tina!! I am Calia Yang and I so excited to be part of the Capture These Sketches sketch team...Thank you for the opportunity to work with such talented gals! I'm a work at home mom who lives in Northeast Georgia. I have 3 beautiful energetic babies, Aeonah (3), Lincoln (2), and Rhynan (11 mths). I have been married for 5 years to my wonderfully patient and supportive husband, Leng; without his support, encouragement, and constructive criticism, I wouldn't be able to enjoy scrapbooking as much as I currently do. I started scrappin' for about 11 months. It all started with making an invitation for my sister's birthday and it's history from there. I totally fell in love with scrappin' and it now has become my second love. Scrappin' has allowed me to capture and record my children's everyday life with the benefit of me being creative.

I don't have a particular style in which I have "perfected". I love every style and try to be as versatile as I can. I try to be adaptable and learn new techniques and styles. I enjoy creating pages with the simple, clean lines, and yet I love the creative liberty of vintage and collage styles. I also love making cards. Some of my projects are posted on my blog - so if you wanna come by and see what's happening in my scrappy world, don't hesitate!

Day 1 Tina

Hi girls!! You've heard lots from me already, so I thought I might as well start off the festivities! :)

I'm Tina, a 33 yr old SAHM from New Brunswick, Canada! I am "Mommy" to my 4 children... ages 6-4-2 and 8 months. I am "wife" to my DH of 9 years. Besides scrapping i love photography, camping, cooking, reading... I'm your average, everyday kinda girl... nothing too exciting! :)
I dove into the world of scrapbooking when my DD was only a year old. I had been warned that it was an addiction and that the shopping would get the best of me... but little did i know how true that was! :) Here I am 5 1/2 years later with more supplies than i know what to do with and never enough time to scrap... since i could do it 24/7! :)
This world of scrapping is more than a hobby for me. It is a lifestyle, a mindset, it is an outlet and it is my sanity! (Hence the name of my blog!) It is a way to preserve the feelings and memories of my childrens youth. But it is also a world of creativity for me. I scrap for me. Every woman needs something they do for themself... and this is my thing! I have had the honor of being published in several publications, being on numerous design teams and designing sketches for various places on the WWW.
I'm SO excited to be embarking on this new adventure with Capture TheseSketches! I hope that you will join us! This is going to be ONE AWESOME RIDE!!

*Each day from July 1-9th there will be a different Design Team member posting. They will post a sketch for you to use!
*Complete a project using the sketch. LO's AND cards will be accepted! Then, post it in our gallery
*If you would prefer, you may also post your project on your blog and leave us a comment, giving us your blog location.
*For each sketch you use, your name will be entered into a draw! There will be a draw for EACH day!! That makes 9 draws!
*If you are not a member of LCOM come on over now and join us!! Don't forget to introduce yourself! This will give you an extra chance to win!
*We will have an extra draw at the end for all members of LCOM who have participated... both new AND old members!
*So that gives you 10 chances to win!!!!
